Love Lane

This project involves a new build family home on the site of a derelict dwelling that enjoys spectacular views across Tramore Bay.

From the outset, the design evolved to take advantage of the views towards the bay whilst avoiding overlooking of adjoining properties, particularly to the South and West. This principal determined the dog-leg form of the house plan which allows the main first floor living areas to exploit the views to the bay through the gaps to the South-West and South-East of the site.

A palette of stone and painted plaster is suggestive of the Irish Vernacular and references the stonework of the adjoining Coastguard Station.
