An Infill house designed for an elderly couple looking to downsize and move closer to the city centre.

The client’s goal was to create a warm, energy efficient and contemporary home.

To establish strong connections to the landscaped garden we dropped all the window cills to ground level – blurring the threshold between inside and out.

The L shaped plan provides visual links to the garden from all parts of the house and maximises the southerly aspect of the site.
